Introduction to GNOME Bluetooth

The GNOME Bluetooth package contains tools for managing and manipulating Bluetooth devices using the GNOME Desktop.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-11.0 platform.

Install GNOME Bluetooth by running the following commands:

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson --prefix=/usr --buildtype=release .. &&
ninja

To test the results, issue: ninja test.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install

--buildtype=release: Specify a buildtype suitable for stable releases of the package, as the default may produce unoptimized binaries.

Installed Programs: bluetooth-sendto

Installed Libraries: libgnome-bluetooth.so

Installed Directories: /usr/include/gnome-bluetooth and /usr/share/gnome-bluetooth

bluetooth-sendto	is a GTK+ application for transferring files over Bluetooth
`libgnome-bluetooth.so`	contains the GNOME Bluetooth API functions
